The objective of Business Banking (BB SME) is to provide customised products and services for clients with commercial finance and wealth management needs. These clients are defined as having complex financial service requirements, which require frequent face-to-face interactions to manage the complexities of the small and medium enterprises (SME).
Broker Agency & Specialist Sales (BASS) is part of BB SME and is primarily responsible for the origination and retention of new to bank and existing clients. Clients are sourced from accredited intermediaries. BASS is a national business servicing relationships based in every state. In BASS we are dedicated to delivering the best client outcome.
In your role as a Relationship Executive – Portfolio Management, you will partner with accredited intermediaries to on board and manage the clients they originate with us - with a focus on growing profitable business through developing new business opportunities. The role will also assist in the rapid growth of business originated via the commercial broking channel to position BASS as a leading financial services provider to the business.
More specifically you'll
Actively pursue the identification of opportunities to assist clients meet their day to day financial needs and medium-term goals by gaining an in depth understanding of client needs and enlisting the involvement of product specialists in client brainstorming and delivering appropriate solutions.
Engages clients in the course of facility documentation to ensure relationship continuity/responsibility is delivered in the client's timeframe and satisfies their financial needs.
Retains existing clients and assists with on boarding of new to bank clients, to ensure a base for growth and manage actual results against agreed plans.
Be responsible for ensuring we are living our customer value proposition of delivering the best client outcome
Provides input to and takes responsibility for implementation of relevant strategic initiatives
Develops all client relationships to ensure that the Bank is meeting each client's financial needs.
Plans a calling program for existing clients that addresses client's needs, provides appropriate financial solutions and prepares call reports outlining issues and opportunities arising from client meetings within 24 hours of each call to ensure close of sale.
Build a network of local internal and external contacts to assist the origination of new business, new clients and the gathering of competitive intelligence.
Understands and operates within relevant Regulatory and Compliance legislation/frameworks.
Your skills and experience
You will have or be in the processes of completing a CAA
Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or related field are highly desirable
Solid experience in running a client portfolio. Experience in a sales or relationship management role in Business Banking or Corporate banking is desirable
Demonstrated knowledge of bank products and financial services products and services
