Deaf Services Queensland is a state wide community based organisation that has provided services to the Queensland Deaf Community since 1903.
Ageing Well services at Deaf Services Queensland provides support for seniors living independently in their own homes to manage their daily activities such as shopping, cleaning, preparing meals and to stay socially active.
We currently have the following vacancy in Gold Coast area for a highly motivated individual to fill.
An Ageing Well support worker will provide individualised support and services to the consumers of Deaf Services Queensland, which enables the person to live as independently as possible in the community.
A support worker will work with a client to maintain the client's personal well-being, functionality, social connections and help the client with daily activities.
Key responsibilities will be helping clients with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, personal care and recreational activities.
The Ageing Well support worker must be able to communicate in Auslan, and will have their own, reliable vehicle which will be required to transport clients.
Required hours of work will be variable.
