This company is a leader in the safety product industry. Its global glove brand is universally known, with an innovative, unique product range that is constantly being updated as a result of new technology and market needs.

They are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Business Development Manager for Queensland.

The role has responsibility for driving sales through the distribution channel by increasing end-user demand throughout Queensland. It involves working with a high degree of autonomy.

You will account manage existing distributors and actively prospect to grow that channel strategically to better cover the company's geographical and industrial market. Researched leads generated by marketing activities will be provided, as well as all the tools needed to maximize sales.

Substantial product training and support will be provided on an ongoing basis.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' successful sales experience, dealing with major end-user accounts as well as distributors in the safety product / PPE industry.

You must be an energetic self-starter, who is able to operate autonomously with the ability to organise and prioritise your work to produce results. Motivated to succeed, you will be confident, personable and proactive in maintaining a solid appointment schedule through your ability to convert phone calls to meetings.

Well-developed interpersonal skills are also essential, enabling you to form quality business relationships at all levels with distributer and end-users.

The package comprises an attractive negotiable base salary, to be based on the experience and capability of the successful candidate, superannuation, car allowance, laptop, phone etc. and a generous commission scheme. The total package could equate to around the $135k mark for the right person.
