About the facility

The Central Resource Unit allocation team provides 7 day support for our staff from 0600-2200 hours. Our web based staffing system (CASCOM) matches shifts according to skills, location, preferences and availability. CASCOM provides fair and equitable allocation of shifts and uses mobile SMS technology to confirm shift location and times.

About the role

As a Central Resource Unit allocator, you will work from University Hospital Geelong to provide a staffing service across Barwon Health. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Dealing with all incoming telephone calls.

Allocation of requests for staffing requirements.

Assist with filling of emergent leave

Allocating requests for additional staffing after approvals have been confirmed.

Liaising with Ward/Units re staffing requirements.

Liaising with the Barwon Health casual bank staff.

Liaising with external agencies to secure appropriate staff to meet roster shortfalls.

Participating in the validation of CRU time sheets following strict guidelines

Maintaining an accurate data base

Liaising daily with Access Manager’s to discuss access pressures and strategies to assist same

Escalation enquiries / issues if appropriate
