Our Pindari Service provides a safe and supportive environment for homeless men and women to seek accommodation and services which will empower them for a positive transition within their community.

About the role:
You will support individuals to achieve housing stability, experience improved social inclusion and be equipped to live successfully in the community. This support is achieved through recovery-based case management activities and working effectively with other members of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive client service within the values and mission of TSA. This position works under the general direction of senior staff in operational requirements and practice that requires the application of skills and knowledge appropriate to the position.

Essential Requirements:
An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
Tertiary qualifications within Community Services, Social Work or similar discipline, or extensive relevant experience with a minimum of Certificate IV qualifications.
Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet clients’ needs.
Current First Aid Certificate, current Driver’s licence, and willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour, violence and problems associated with homelessness, substance abuse and mental health conditions.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external clients, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions.
Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and continuous improvement strategies.
Available to do rotating shift work (Morning, Afternoon and Night)
Team player, flexible with a positive attitude.
