PwC Australia is currently recruiting a Digital Marketing Strategy & Operations Lead to join our passionate digital team. We’re seeking a senior marketing professional who has a deep passion for the digital space and running a strategic and efficient operation. The individual will be highly motivated, driven, and detail-oriented with a high technical aptitude to play a critical role in our overall, growing success. Experience on digital transformation projects will be a plus.

The role

Reporting to the National Digital Marketing leader, this role will ensure our digital marketing strategies and operations are on track to achieve firm objectives. Responsibilities will include mentoring the team on digital marketing best practice, ensuring efficient marketing operations are in place in line with strategic priorities, managing digital production team, taking the lead on assigned projects to improve the firm’s digital capability, and serving as a digital subject matter expert to both internal and external stakeholders. There’s also an opportunity to shape the strategy for our brand-defining digital marketing campaigns.

Ideally, this candidate will have strong campaign and stakeholder management skills and demonstrated success with large, complex campaigns in the digital space. The individual will possess sound analytical, technical, and effective communication skills. The right candidate will be exceptionally organised with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects with rapidly altering priorities and tight deadlines.


  • Maintain and evolve our digital marketing function in line with our digital roadmap
  • Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in the team to improve customer segmentation, acquisition, engagement and conversion
  • Monitor the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives as they relate to the business strategy
  • Ensure the projects and campaigns are delivered in line with firm priorities
  • Identify risks and opportunities that come with managing multiple campaigns and be the point of escalation for issues
  • Refine best practices and procedures with the digital team
  • Provide recommendations for new digital offerings and work with stakeholders across the business
  • Continually refine processes and optimise tactics to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Understand the business strategies, objectives, markets, audience to develop business-aligned and results driven marketing plans
  • Work with Digital Campaign Strategists and Analyst to ensure efficient and effective campaign targeting; automation and personalisation programs, processes and workflows; generate and implement optimisation tests including A/B multi-variant testing
  • Ownership of firm’s website
  • 8+ years of digital marketing experience (B2B experience will be a plus)
  • Relevant tertiary degree
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Hands-on knowledge of CRM, CMS, eDM and automation tools
  • Able to build trust through effective communications, especially with a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated stakeholder influencing skills and experience working on numerous projects and tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to synthesise a range of information into clear conclusions and actions will be essential
  • Experience in managing direct reports
  • Flexible, autonomous and team-oriented collaborator
  • A consultative approach; the ability to listen, understand and solve problems
  • Attention to detail and independent quality assurance of own work
  • An independent thinker with creative troubleshooting and escalation experience
