The ICT Services and Operations branch has primary responsibility for the operational support of ICT services used by departmental staff and customers. We take a life cycle approach to service delivery: starting with governance to ensure that new and changed ICT services are introduced smoothly and effectively; facilitating the supply of current services to customers; through to monitoring ourselves and our partners to ensure services are being delivered effectively. We help the Information Services Division (ISD) to work within an industry standard framework to ensure all aspects of service delivery are covered. This means we typically work behind the scenes within ISD, though there are a number of important touch points where we deal directly with staff and the public. All branch members have responsibility to ensure the branch delivers integrated service delivery and improvement.
The role of the ICT Service Operations Manager is to assist Directors and Assistant Directors in the management of change coordination, and problem and performance management which are critical to the successful operations of departmental business and industry.
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Assistant Director of Change Management to coordinate ICT Change Management, ensuring ICT changes are coordinated and executed as planned. The position also assists, advises and negotiates with staff and the division's 3rd Party Service Providers to ensure the delivery of business as usual (BAU) services and related project activates.
