Junction Support Services is an independent, not-for-profit Community Services Organisation, providing high quality and innovative services to single adults, families, children and young people living in the Goulburn, Ovens and Murray area of Victoria.
The Navigator program assists in building the capacity of school communities to create positive and safe environments, while focusing on re-engaging students who have been disengaged for an extended period of time.
The Navigator Support Worker will work across the education and community services sector, under the guidance and direction of the Navigator Case Managers. The role will support students in the Navigator program by undertaking tasks which will assist them in achieving their identified goals.
• Provide task based support, allocated and coordinated by a Navigator Case Manager, to children and young people accepted into the Navigator program.
• Assist Navigator Case Managers in establishing and strengthening links and referral pathways between schools, community service organisations and other supports to optimise the re-engagement of disengaged students.
• Provide individualised support as nominated by the Navigator Case Manage, which is tailored to the client needs.
To be successful you will have a relevant tertiary qualification such as Diploma of Community Services or Case Management and/or relevant experience relevant to this role. JSS strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants for this role.
