The position is responsible for providing administrative/reception support within the Department to ensure effective provision of services to clients. The position is front line / first contact point with clients and potential clients of the Department and is required to exhibit a professional and sensitive demeanour towards clients/carers.
Nuclear Medicine Department Receptionist
The Nuclear Medicine Department of the Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated person to provide reception and secretarial support to patients and other health professionals attending the Nuclear Medicine and PET Department The receptionist is responsible for booking Nuclear Medicine and PET studies, handling phone enquiries from patients and referrers in regard to bookings, referrals and services, and to liaise with doctors internally and externally regarding patient bookings’ and reports.
The successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate provision of information to clinical staff by possessing high level organisational skills and autonomy, be able to independently action changes to patient appointments on demand and liaise with senior staff to accommodate individual patient situations and requirements. They will be required to provide professional and high level customer service to clients, staff and the general public making enquiries through the Department.
Remuneration and conditions are as specified by the NSW Health Employee’s Administrative Staff (State) Administrative Officers Award.
This position is permanent part time and is classified as an Admin Off Lvl 3. Note that employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if the position cannot be filled on a permanent basis.
