Our client is currently looking to fill an Operations Manager's role to cover a small number of neighbourhood shopping centres located in the Sydney metro area.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, your role will focus on the operational performance of the shopping centres ensuring that day to day operations activities are in line with agreed standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that all statutory and mandatory requirements are met.

Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating minor works including tenancy fit outs and capital works
Preparing contracts for cleaning, security, waste disposal, etc
Project management of building services/architectural upgrades
Preparing and implementing maintenance prevention programs
Risk management
Budget management & expenditure control
Forecasting and capital expenditure
Resource management avoiding any wastage e.g. water and electricity
Essential services compliance
Developing and implementing sustainability initiatives To be successful in this role you will need a strong background in Operations/Facilities management ideally in shopping centres and be able to demonstrate strong Project Management experience. It is essential that you are proactive and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a passion for sustainability. Trade background is an advantage.
