This position provides a liaison role with patients, relatives, medical staff, admissions staff, revenue, health funds and Medicare in regard to financial classifications and other related admission process issues. The role is pivotal in promoting the use of private health insurance by providing accurate and timely information regarding the use of private insurance in a public hospital. This position is part of a wider Admissions Team and must work closely with the general Admissions Unit and the Revenue Department to support an efficient team that is able to accurately and efficiently admit and classify patients entering Mona Vale Hospital. The position will provide support and advice to all admission team members to ensure a standardised approach to patient election.

Exciting opportunity exists on the Northern Beaches for an enthusiastic person looking for a busy and varied position. The position is a job share role (1 position available) Monday to Friday. Week 1: 16hrs (@ 8hrs per day); Week 2: 24hrs (@ 8hrs per day). Applicant must be prepared to provide full time cover in times of co-worker leave. Position involves liaison with patients, health funds, families, overseas insurance companies as well as close liaison with the Revenue Department. The position works closely with and provides support to the members of the Admissions Team.
This position is permanent part time and is classified as an Admin Off Lvl 4. Note that employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if the position cannot be filled on a permanent basis.
