Paramount Pictures Australia is seeking a passionate Publicity Coordinator with a 'can do' attitude, a keen sense of humour and a passion for all things digital to join our well established and successful Publicity team.

Paramount Pictures, a subsidiary of Viacom, is a global leader in the distribution of filmed entertainment. At Paramount Pictures Australia we are responsible for the local sales, marketing, and distribution of theatrical work produced by Paramount.

As the successful Publicity Coordinator you will be responsible for administrative and campaign support to the National Publicity team and ensure the highest level of publicity and media coverage around paramount Pictures theatrical releases.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Establish substantial, professional relationships with national online media to maximise potential coverage and awareness of film releases
  • Oversee rollout of digital assets to online media
  • Assist with the coordination and management of online publicity breaks for all films
  • Track and report online editorial coverage for Paramount theatrical releases and asset launches
  • Manage and maintain Publicity databases
  • Assist National Publicity team on all publicity tours, premieres, junkets, events and screenings
  • Compile and maintain campaign reports for each film pre and post-release, in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and assist with national preview screening programs
  • Coordinate screening invitations and manage RSVPs
  • Manage local screening budget
To be successful in the role you will need:
  • Demonstrable experience of working in digital publicity, preferably in media/entertainment industry
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders of varying professional levels
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail Ability to work well within a team in a matrix structured organisation
  • Creative flair and lateral thinking
  • Proactive, motivated self-starter
  • Good IT skills - MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
  • Experience of using SAP or similar financial systems
  • Communications or Marketing Degree or equivalent desirable
