Runs a high touch, vertically focused IT recruiter with solid, profitable relationships in place which result in exclusive, non PSA work. Working from stylish offices in the CBD, they and the team deliver to an SME, mid tier client base through specialist entities. Having grown very successfully over the 5 years, it is time to hand the reins to a Sales Manager who can take the team, and the business, to the next level of success.
What the role involves
This role requires a leader - someone who can motivate and get results through others. Someone who will lead from the front - from business development activities to the detail of post placement support, mentoring their team every step of the way - no request from a staff member will be too big or small, from helping others to formally tender, to attending a meeting with a client who has been hard to handle. Managing the existing team is key to this role's success, the team varying from highly experienced recruiters to those newer to the industry. Business growth will also rely on being able to identify and hire other good recruiters so as to further build out this company's specialist offerings. A personal knowledge of PMO and/or digital recruitment will also help with the strategic growth of this business.
Who you will be
You will have considerable local market, IT recruitment and management experience and be familiar with both managing experienced recruiters as well as training rookies. You will have worked in different delivery models within specialist recruiters and value low volume, high margin, consultative selling. A knowledge of starting desks, start ups and/or boutique environments would be preferred as you will have an appreciation of the varying advantages and challenges smaller businesses provide. Personal experience of PMO or digital recruitment, as mentioned, will be highly valued as will contract recruitment and/or project services delivery. You will personally be able to contribute to revenue generation through your network to senior level management in the local market.
