Cristal is seeking a Sea Freight / Distribution Coordinator to join our North Fremantle office, on a permanent basis.
The Sea Freight / Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for the administrative tasks related to the sourcing and management of product transportation via land and sea, including; regulatory administration, assisting in the management of the freight forwarding provider and supporting key distribution activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for entering and processing export orders and preparing relevant documentation e.g. under Letter of Credit, organising shipment of customer and warehouse resupply orders, liaising with freight and shipping companies and taking responsibility for initiating corrective action whenever necessary.
In addition to the above mentioned responsibilities the Sea Freight / Distribution Coordinator will be involved with:
Liaising with freight and shipping companies
Providing customer support
Monitoring the performance of land transportation providers against targets.
Assisting with taking corrective action if providers fail to comply with KPI’s
Providing accurate and timely export filings, LC’s and Customs documentation
Assisting with forecasting activities to ensure the distribution network requirements are optimised.
Assisting in managing payment processing and cost reporting
Working within Customer Service guidelines relating to: order entry and customer service (internally and externally)
Acting as a main point of contact with plant Shipping Specialists, Customer Service and others for all distribution related issues.
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
A High School certificate with a minimum of 12 months’ experience in supply chain, or logistics
Experience in coordinating export shipments
Knowledge of Customer Service and Distribution activities
