Senior Account Manager- Shopper Marketing
The Store WPP AUNZ is part of the WPP AUNZ Group (the largest marketing and communications group in the region). The Store WPP AUNZ operates at a group level and is responsible for putting together teams for clients that have more than one specific need from within the vast WPP AUNZ Group of agencies.
The Store is an initiative that was set up by WPP (the largest marketing and communications group in the
world) in the UK and North America 5 years ago. Since then large multi-national clients such as Unilever,
Kimberly Clark, Microsoft, Heineken and General Mills to name a few have all opted to create their own
bespoke WPP teams through The Store. The Store WPP AUNZ was established in 2016 and has seen the same adoption rate as the USA and the UK with clients such as Logitech, Moet Hennessy and CUB already opting for collaborative WPP group models in this market. With this rapid growth has come the need for a top level, experienced, and capable Senior Account Manager to manage the day-to-day of the CUB account and ensure its continued growth.
Responsible for managing all servicing dynamics of the client business
Develop and manage productive ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with senior client personnel
Develop new opportunities and drive business growth with the client
Be accountable for the commercial success of accounts.
Drive account growth through collaborating with other WPP agencies.
Challenge client requests when necessary – supporting and guiding the team to do so when appropriate
Inspires, nurtures and encourages talent within the team.
Displays leadership and provides effective counsel to the team at all time
Understands the strengths and capacity of the agencies in the group to ensure the optimum utilisation of talent and capacity within the network is provided to CUB for their benefit and the benefit of WPP as a group.
An experienced Senior Account Manager with a background in promotional shopper marketing or related business activity
Proven and demonstrable account management sustainability and growth capability
Cross discipline the line experience – an understanding of Promotional, Shopper, POSM, warehousing, Logistics etc.
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate with all levels of both the client and agency organisation
Experience of operating in a group network and working with various teams
Experience in quoting, invoicing and financial management of an account successfully
Ability to approach issues by seeking the solution rather than seeing the problem
Able to walk the fine line between assertiveness and diplomacy with the client
