Our Civil Construction client have the requirement for a new Tenders Manager to join their team.

The role will involve;

  • The compilation of high quality tenders
  • Estimating potential future project from drawings and defined scope of works.
  • Attending site meetings and liaise with clients
  • Working closely with estimators, the business development manager, project managers and management to pull together tenders for a multitude of clients
  • Writing detailed job specific methodologies, capability statements and creating supporting documentation for submission with tenders
  • Presenting tenders to management for approval
  • Presenting to clients on experience and capabilities
  • Pulling together highly professional and conforming tenders
  • Looking for more efficient/effective ways to deliver projects (outside of the tender scope) and putting together non-conforming tenders for client review
  • Following up submitted tenders and reviewing the outcomes
  • Working closely with upper management and BDM to target and win work with new clients
  • Driving the use of best practice estimating to provide the project managers with accurate budgets
  • Compiling and submitting Expression of Interest documents
The successful candidate will have;

  • Estimating/ Quantity Surveying/ Engineering background
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Experience compiling detailed tender submissions
  • Onsite experience & understanding of the construction process
  • Experience writing detailed construction methodologies
  • Proficient in MS Project and the Office suite
  • Experience presenting to clients
  • Ability to build highly professional and well laid out tender documentation
  • Experience compiling Defence Force tender/contracts highly regarded*
